Nikon D850 | The BEST Time to Photograph Birds | Bird Photography

Using the Nikon D850 for bird photography is really awesome. Granted the lens I use in this video isn’t the most optimal lens for bird photography in low light, but when combined with the D850’s huge 45MP sensor in brighter light, it allows me to crop in and still get a decent image. The Nikon D850 never ceases to amaze me with it’s quality of images. I get up early in the morning in this video, before sunrise, the best time to photograph birds in my opinion, and head to my local beach. Just like humans, birds awaken looking for a meal, so they’re out foraging for food everywhere, forests, beaches, lakes, even your backyard. If I had the money, I would love to combine the Nikon D850 with something like the Nikon 400mm f/2.8E FL VR prime lens with a 1.4 teleconverter for a low light bird photography session (but that’s a $15K AUD lens). One can only dream.
